We separate dedicated rating or target-change alerts from a newsfeed that may report the same event. Only documented workflows are shown. This is a Stocklet-published guide.
| Product | Best fit | Documented options | Trade-off to consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stock Alarm | Analyst moves in portfolio monitoring | Its official comparison describes rating-change events alongside filings, insider activity, and price moves. | Confirm the current alert type and membership before relying on phone delivery. Source |
| Benzinga Pro | Custom market-news monitoring | Ticker, keyword, and watchlist newsfeed filters are documented; analyst upgrades are cited as a news catalyst. | A newsfeed match is not necessarily a dedicated rating-change alert. Source |
| Stocklet | Selected-stock ratings and targets | Supported upgrades, downgrades, initiations, and price-target changes are separate analyst events. | Coverage depends on the firms and actions available to Stocklet's sources. Source |

Ratings and price targets are different events
An upgrade changes an analyst's stated view on a rating scale. A price-target revision changes a modeled number. Both can appear in the same news story, but a notification for one does not automatically mean the app has a dedicated alert for the other. Check the exact event names in the current settings.
Stock Alarm describes analyst moves in portfolio monitoring. It may suit a workflow that also follows filings, insider activity, and price moves. Verify current alert and membership details before selecting it.
Benzinga Pro documents custom newsfeed notifications by ticker, keyword, or watchlist and names analyst upgrades among market catalysts. That may be useful if you want the surrounding story. A filtered newsfeed should not be confused with a dedicated rating-change feed.
Stocklet supports selected-stock alerts for analyst upgrades, downgrades, initiations, and price-target changes. Its analyst feature page describes the categories. It cannot guarantee every firm or note is covered, and a target is not a forecast certainty.
Read beyond the changed label
When an alert arrives, compare the prior rating or target, new value, issuing firm, date, and stated reasons. An increase in target can accompany a downgrade, and vice versa, if the analyst's assumptions or time horizon change. Our rating-action guide and price-target guide explain those distinctions.
Stocklet provides informational notifications, not investment advice. Alert timing depends on when source information becomes publicly available and is processed.
