What the two apps document
Yahoo Finance's iOS notification help covers news, events, and significant price changes for followed symbols. Its custom-price help explains target-price notifications. Those are meaningful capabilities, and a comparison should not imply Yahoo lacks them.
Stocklet lets you select companies and configure supported price and company-event notifications. Its price page, earnings page, and insider page describe examples. Stocklet's central appeal is a focused monitoring workflow across several event categories; the exact stock and source coverage should be checked in the app.
Price rules, news, and company events
For a fixed price, test a target in the app you already use before switching. For a company event, name the trigger precisely: an earnings release, a scheduled call, a newly reported insider transaction, a press release, and a news article are different events. The table compares documented categories, but it does not prove that either provider lacks an unlisted feature.
Yahoo Finance may fit better if your established watchlist and its existing notification settings already answer your questions. Stocklet may fit better if you want to configure several supported company-event types for a smaller set of stocks. If chart indicators are the main need, compare a chart-focused tool as well rather than forcing this two-app decision.
Test before moving your watchlist
Configure one representative stock and alert in each app. Confirm that notifications are allowed on your phone, inspect what the alert opens, and review the source information after it arrives. Market data, processing, connectivity, and device settings can affect timing. Stocklet does not place trades. The Yahoo Finance alternatives guide covers other workflows if neither app is the right fit.

Stocklet provides informational notifications, not investment advice. Alert timing depends on when source information becomes publicly available and is processed.
